Lambchop have introduced a brand new album. It’s known as The Bible and it’s out September 30 through Merge in North America and Metropolis Slang for the remainder of the world. Accompanying “Police Canine Blues” is a music video directed by Isaac Gale, who generated it on the Unreal 3D graphics engine. “We took the police canine from the tune title actually and imagined a metropolis, put up cop-apocalypse, overrun by German Shepherds simply kinda doing their factor,” Gale stated in a press release. “White privilege and apathy within the face of disastrous actuality. I don’t suppose it’s stretching it to match the police in Minneapolis—the place myself and the producers of the document, Ryan Olson and Andrew Broder, all reside—to a human-made catastrophic catastrophe.”
The Bible follows Lambchop’s 2021 album Showtunes, in addition to 2020’s Journey, the latter of which is a covers LP that includes songs by artists just like the Supremes and Stevie Marvel.
