
Vistas Media Capital has introduced plans for a brand new documentary about Laura Nyro, the late singer-songwriter, activist, and Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame inductee. The as-yet-untitled movie will probably be produced by Ben Waisbren (300, The Equalizer, Blood Diamond) and music producer Bonnie Greenberg (RBG), with Laura’s son Gil Bianchini serving as an affiliate producer, experiences Deadline. A director has but to be introduced for the documentary.
“I used to be first drawn to Laura Nyro’s music and life story by what David Geffen so poignantly mentioned about her in Susan Lacy’s 2010 characteristic movie Inventing David Geffen,” Waisbren mentioned in a press release. “Her lyrics touched and galvanized a technology of ladies—phrases which have resonance right now.”
