
Earlier this spring, Florida rapper and singer Rod Wave was arrested on a felony cost of home battery by strangulation. The case is now being dropped, Wave’s lawyer Bradford M. Cohen tells Pitchfork. In a courtroom submitting, considered by Pitchfork, an assistant state legal professional wrote, “From the investigation which has been made, it’s the opinion of the author that this case will not be appropriate for prosecution.”
In response to the arrest warrant, considered by Pitchfork, Rod Wave was accused of choking his ex-girlfriend at her Osceola County house till she couldn’t breathe. Wave, whose actual title is Rodarius Marcell Inexperienced, additionally claimed the girl was “speaking to different males whereas they have been broke up,” in line with the arrest warrant.
In an e mail to Pitchfork, Cohen described the incident as “a misunderstanding between a Girlfriend and Boyfriend.” He continued, “That misunderstanding resulted in Mr. Inexperienced’s arrest. After evaluation of the proof and talking with witnesses, the State entered a Nolle Pross/ No Information on the matter and won’t be pursuing fees.”
